Born and raised ten miles from the White House, Al Wood’s work is heavily influenced by his love for history and architecture. This desire to preserve history inspired him to re-purpose antique tin ceiling tiles. After twenty years, Wood is amazed by the patterns and beauty the tin brings to life. Whether it's a mirror frame, box, or umbrella stand, Wood says he lets the tin decide what to make. His work has been sold in Dallas and Houston, Texas, Scottsdale, Arizona, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
