Lynne Miller - Opening Show

Lynne Miller is an encaustic artist from Charlotte, NC. Her goal is to allow the viewer to get lost in the details, subtle layers of color, play of light, and delicate veining which is present in her nature inspired paintings. With a torch as her brush, the constantly changing surface of her work develops with up to 30 layers of color and medium. It is the fluid movement of the material while molten and the blooms of color that draw Lynne to encaustic painting.

Meet The Artist: Randy Purcell

Randy Purcell is an encaustic artist from Mt. Juliet, TN.

Please stop by the gallery to meet Randy and learn more about his process and see his latest new pieces.

The process of cutting and transferring ink from magazine paper onto beeswax is a tedious technique. However, the work is peaceful and silent, and it allows me space for introspection. Just like memories, some of the transferred imagery can represent various facets and moments of my life, all things that have brought me to the present. This medium presents these subjects as well as we may remember them. Do we ever recall one thing without being reminded of others?
