Meghan Bernard has lived in Western North Carolina for close to 20 years. The local wildlife around her backyard studio heavily influences her work. For example, her iconic fox design was started after a pair of foxes moved in behind her studio.
Meghan throws her pots on the wheel using porcelain clay. Then carves and underglazes them, adding layers and colors to bring out the narrative of the design. She then fires them with food safe glazes for everyday use.
She been honored to be a member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild since 2004.
Meghan lives in Hendersonville with her husband and daughter, 2 dogs, and a cat.
