As a young girl, Luna would go to the fabric store with her mother and become mesmerized by all the different prints and patterns covering all the different textiles. she wanted to take all of them home and create new pillows, drapes, clothes and anything she could imagine. It seemed inevitable that textile design would become her passion. Luna is attracted to pattern of any kind, and nature is the best example of naturally occurring pattern. It serves as the base of inspiration for most of her designs. She feels nature is something in which everyone can make a connection. Luna’s design process is created through sketches, paintings, and linoleum block prints. To Luna, the art of carving the linoleum blocks is as enjoyable as printing with them. She is driven to design functional work and enjoys making things that people can use in everyday life.
