With a degree in fine arts and after a successful career as a professional meeting planner, Jane Krause was eager to pursue the opportunity to fully express her creative talents. Initially repurposing what she had in an old jewelry box, she made new wearable pieces. In the process Krause found that silver smithing was where her real interests lay. She now creates unique and stylish wearable art from silver that are beautiful and elegant.
Her handwoven silver bracelets are treasured for their interesting complex patterns, as are her “hoops-with-a-twist” earrings. As the niece of Ohio artist, Virginia Krause Hess, an acclaimed painter and sculpture, Krause comes by her artistic talents naturally. An avid competitive pool player, she enjoys oil painting, crocheting, cooking, hiking with her dogs, a glass of fine wine, and providing a little sparkle in someone’s life with her jewelry.
