Anna Marie Pavlik was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, but raised in Minnesota before eventually moving to Austin, Texas. She obtained a B.A. in Fine Art from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from St. Paul Vocational School. Pavlik focuses on copper etchings and stratographs (a layered monoprint process) and has produced several bodies of work exploring a variety of themes.

Pavlik has a deep concern for the natural world, having moved due to severe climate experiences while living in Texas. She has since focused her print editions on the topics of climate and human interaction with the environment.
