Nature and Wildlife Paintings
Danny was born and raised in rural Huntland, Tennessee and currently resides in Franklin. At the age of three he began to draw the abundant wildlife; and particularly birds he saw outside his home. He spent his youth in the woods, fishing the creeks and working the fields, while quietly observing nature around him. Now he captures nature and wildlife on canvas, walls or anything that he can put paint on using watercolor/gouache, acrylics or oils.
He attended the Harris School of Art in Franklin, Tennessee and traveled to Bozeman, Montana where he studied with the internationally acclaimed wildlife Master Artist, Carl Brenders. Always looking to expand his knowledge and improve his skills and techniques; he constantly reaches out to other artists to share and learn.
His carefully rendered wildlife studies are so true that they draw the observer closer to examine the precise detail. His meticulous technique in watercolor/gouache produces paintings that immediately trigger multiple reactions by the viewer – how does he do that? it’s not a photograph? …
He displays his paintings in art festivals and shows around Tennessee. His commissioned works are in private collections across the United States and Japan.
